Interview with Andy Snitzer

In this final section of our video interview, Andy discusses his early solo recordings as well as his interests in the new technologies that have proven essential in making recordings over the past 40 years. This has enabled him to become, in essence, his own record company in that he handles every aspect of the recording, production, and promotion of his most recent solo albums. He also talks about many of the legal aspects of the music industry that all artists need to familiarize themselves with. Finally, he shares his equipment choices and why he prefers certain mouthpieces, reeds, and horns. I hope you’ll enjoy listening to this master of sophisticated jazz/pop.

*Interviewer’s Correction: Danzi is an Italian-based company that harvests its cane in the Var region of France.
